I started at Frontier Developments immediately after leaving Team17 on the 12th of January 2015. I was assigned to the tools team, which primarily worked with .NET. Despite having no previous experience of related technologies like XAML and WPF, I soon caught up and was responsible for:

Maintaining and extending current tools:

• Physics debugger.
• Screenshot capture tool.
• State machine debugger.
• Particle Editor.

Elite Dangerous developer features:

• Menu of additional camera angles to assist artists.
• Game iteration with state machine tool, this enabled control of animated objects in order to replay audio effects, in sync, at will.


• Building and testing tools prior games team deployment.
• Collaborating with application teams to learn of their requirements.
